If youre anywhere near your car with the keys in your posession you can be convicted of intent to drive, fines and sentances are exactly the same if you were on the road...
In fact, if you were on the road and got pulled over, the fines and sentances would be the same no matter if you had an accident or not.

Same condition, you decide to walk home, you get several blocks away from your car, youre safe right?

Many states make it a crime just to walk home intoxicated, talk about sending mixed messages?
Remember you and only you can make a diffrence and stop the insanity, write your lawmakers, let them know this is the usa not a communist country... After all when murders get lighter sentances, something is definately wrong!
